What We Do

In 1990 Senior Benefits & Planning opened its doors to seniors in the Fort Wayne communities as a growing need was seen for people to have one place to turn to for both their insurance and investing needs. At that time we primarily focused on the preservation and distribution phases of our client’s financial life. We worked hard to help clients invest conservatively, yet with the prospect for growth. We also worked to assure they would not outlive their assets regardless of the medical needs in their future.  

In time, we expanded our services at the request of our clients to include helping “younger” ones, those in the accumulation phase of life. This started because clients were so pleased with our services that they referred their friends and children to our offices. Also, many of our client’s children have seen the care with which we plan and help their parents, and thus have asked for such planning for them as well.  

This added growth led to our expanding our name to include Collier Financial which better represents that our expertise is not limited to the needs of seniors. Regardless of age, we work with each clients investing and insurance needs individually. Whether accumulating wealth, preserving what they have worked hard for, or preparing the distribution of assets to beneficiaries, we help each client to reach their short term and long term goals. The many referrals we receive allow us to focus less on marketing for new clients and more on providing superior customer service, which in turn provides us with more referrals.  

Though the economic conditions have been highly unstable over the past year, we can confidently say that our conservative approach to investing has been a great benefit to our clients. At a time when some of their peers have lost 40% or more of their “nest egg”, many of our clients have earned healthy returns in spite of the economic downturn.
